DPP day ticket Prague: fares, prices and when they pay off

A single ride is valid for one hour in one direction, transfers included. Day tickets run until 4am the following day and come as single or family versions for up to five people.

Rule of thumb: from two rides a day the day ticket beats single tickets. If you mostly walk around the old town and take one tram to the Blue Wonder, singles are cheaper.

Line 11 links the zoo, the Stromovka park and Praha-Holešovice station and is the most convenient route between the major museums. Line 4 runs from the main station through the old town to Mělník.

For Prague Airport use bus line 59 from Nádraží Veleslavín; depending on the fare zone it may need a small surcharge beyond the cheapest DPP day ticket.

Paper tickets must be validated at the small machine on the tram or bus before travel; digital tickets in the app are valid automatically from purchase or your chosen start time. Checks are frequent and fines cost far more than the fare.

Normal luggage travels free; bicycles need a separate bike ticket.
